Bar Top Configurator — Version Notes (v20)

I've been building a configurator for stainless bar tops — the kind of fabrication question that usually takes a phone call and three back-and-forth emails to scope. The goal is to let someone pick a material, edge profile, drink rail option, and dimensions, see what it would look like, and give us enough information to quote it in one pass.

Where it is now

Version 20 is the current build. It handles material selection, edge profile, basic dimensions, and a clean preview that updates as you change inputs. It's not pretty yet — that comes later. Right now I care more about whether the inputs actually capture what's needed to build the thing.

What changed

• v15 was the first hero idea — heavy visual, light on actual configurator logic.
• v17 added a real material picker and edge profile.
• v20 cleans up the input flow and makes the preview reflect choices in real time.

What's next

• Drink rail option (under-mount, top-mount, integrated).
• Finish selection — brushed, mirror, custom grain.
• A quote summary that turns the inputs into a ready-to-send bid line.
